It’s fairly safe to say that although we have some fitness enthusiasts and sporty types amongst the Jacaranda team, not all of us are cut out for anything particularly strenuous. We love the idea of it, especially if we can watch it on TV from the comfort of the sofa whilst enjoying a nice glass of wine, but we’re not so keen on getting out and joining in.
This is perhaps in part why we are so keen to support Simon, our Kiwi sous chef, who has valiantly entered for the Brighton marathon and will be running the scenic 26.2 miles around Brighton city centre, past the Pavilion and along the seafront this Sunday, 15th April.
Simon is raising money for the Sussex Air Ambulance, a charity which provides Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) and Air Ambulance Service for the benefit of sick and injured people in South East England and surrounding areas of the community.
To support this essential service and our boy Simon, please feel free to visit his Just Giving page and make a donation. If nothing else, you can donate in the happy knowledge that it excuses you (like us) from having to do the actual exercise yourself!
