A Marriage of Mediterranean Tastes

Carly’s family are Spanish, so when we told her and her fiance, Daniel, that our sous chef Simon had spent a year cooking in Barcelona, we knew that we had made a perfect menu match; we just hoped that our tapas was up to scratch!

Daniel and Carly recently came into Jacaranda HQ for their tapas menu tasting prior to their wedding at Bury Court later this summer. Any nerves we had that our tapas wouldn’t live up to the authentic Spanish dishes of Carly’s heritage were soon put to rest as they absolutely loved the dishes we suggested and even hinted that it was better than their favourite tapas restaurant!

For their drinks reception, Carly and Daniel’s guests will be enjoying bruchetta with garlic, tomato & basil, ‘Pan de ajo’ – garlic bread and mixed marinated Spanish olives.

The main menu includes:

Sharing tapas & paella:
Chilli and garlic mushrooms
Spanish meatball in tomato and cream sauce
Chicken and chorizo flamed with Spanish sherry
‘Patatas Bravos’ potato in a spicy tomato sauce
‘Patatas Ali Oli’ potatos in a garlic mayonnaise
Baskets of rustic garlic and tomato breads with dipping oils

Paella with chicken, chorizo, shelled king prawns, saffron and peppers, garnished with lemon wedges

Vegetarian paella with red and yellow peppers, peas, tradfitional spanish vegetables, sugar snap peas and green beans

Rustic Spanish garden salad per table with cherry vine tomato, little gem lettuce, small cucumber and radish

In case guests are still peckish after all of that, dessert includes a blackcurrant cheesecake served with fruit coulis and fresh berries. Later in the evening we’ll be providing a selection of charcuterie platters, alongside cheese and bread amongst other things.

We can’t wait to see Carly and Daniel become newlyweds and lavish this delectable menu on their friends and family.
