There are perhaps no finer words we long to hear than the simple phrase, “We’re hosting our wedding reception in a vineyard.” You can imagine how happy we were, therefore, when Chris and Ren approached us to help them with their wedding celebration at Upperton Vineyard, in Petworth.
In addition to playing host as the venue for Ren and Chris’ special day, Upperton Vineyard also supplied their sparkling wine during the reception drinks and then added their own pink sparkling Erubesco for the toast. Our event manager JJ was on hand throughout the day and reports that the quality of their product was impressive (though we’re sure he hardly had chance to sample much…)
It was an exciting day for us because not only did we find out that there’s a quality vineyard on our doorstep and not only did we cater for Chris and Ren’s wedding breakfast and reception, but we were also proud to supply the marquee for the event through our new sister company, South Downs Marquee. Still in its infancy compared to Jacaranda, this was the first big event for the South Downs Marquee Hire team and possibly the most exquisite setting to start our portfolio off with!
There were lots of lovely, simple styling details in this wedding that worked really well within the surroundings. Quintessentially British blooms and decor items lent themselves perfectly to the panorama of the South Downs across the vineyard and luckily the weather was on our side for most of the day! We were delighted to provide the perfect backdrop for this wonderful wedding and wish the happy couple a wonderful future together.
