Carole Sharp moved to Midhurst from Chichester last year to set up The Exclusive Cake Shop & Vintage Tearooms and came to introduce herself to Jacaranda as a cake maker. Since then, we have promoted her wedding cakes, cupcakes and any occasion cakes our clients might need. I personally send my clients to her Vintage Tearooms for a treat after meetings in our office, so that they can simultaneously enjoy the excellent products and service on offer and also discuss their wedding cake options and booking procedure with Carole.
We first encountered The Exclusive Cake Shop & Vintage Tearooms when I was setting up a wedding at Farbridge one day and Carole was supplying a cupcake tower. She turned up in this very cool pastry chef uniform with her assistant – I thought it was very professional and also very interesting. We were setting up on the morning of the wedding and there were also a few couples visiting the venue – they absolutely loved Carole, her passion and presentation.
When you’re involved in so many weddings a year you end up seeing a vast array of different attitudes among different suppliers (for example, some cake makers will send you your wedding cake by a taxi!), but Carole just came across very passionate, professional and committed to her business.
Obviously, I get my cakes from her vintage shop and some of us occasionally pop to the Vintage Tearooms for a little treat on our lunch break, so this really is a personal endorsement, too!
