Beth and Tom – 28th April 2018 – Bury Court Barn

Why did you choose this venue?
Because my Mum and Step-dad got married here so we knew the venue was exactly what we wanted and it was not going to be beaten by anywhere else!

If you had to sum up the wedding in one sentence, what would it be?
Everything we could have ever wished for!

How many guests did you have?
130 for the main day plus another 60-70 for the evening.

Were there any notable speeches/music/readings or particularly memorable moments?
The grooms speech – Tom’s step-dad took over but kept messing the words up so his mum had to take over and finish it off – it was like pass the parcel but with his speech! And the bouquet/garter toss – the men had a bit of a bundle over the garter
What did you choose to have on your menu?
Starter
Slow cooked pork belly with seared scallop, cauliflower puree, charred cauliflower and curry oil
Main
Aged fillet and sticky braised West Country beef, carrot puree, seasonal vegetables, crispy potato and thyme galette and beef jus
Desserts
Individual white and dark chocolate torte with summer berries, chocolate crumbs and raspberry coulis
Elderflower and berry jelly with lemon posset, strawberry ice cream and mint meringue
What was your favourite part of the day?
THE FOOD!! And Annie (our dog) bringing the rings up the aisle.

How did Jacaranda help make your day special?
Everything ran smoothly
