Just two days before Christmas, Victoria and Lee assembled 115 of their closest family and friends to help them celebrate becoming Mr and Mrs Rubin at Bury Court Barn. They said their vows and amidst frosty lawns and sparkling Christmas trees, partying long into the night as the clock chimed for Christmas eve.
“The moment we walked in I knew it was the right venue,” said Victoria. “it was absolutely stunning and perfect for a Christmas venue, covered in fairy lights, Christmas scents and garlands – it was the most romantic venue I could have imagined.”
From the Christmas cards used as table names to the festive stockings strung up to receive wedding cards, Lee and Victoria seized the opportunity to make the most of the festive theme. With their bridesmaids all lined up in jubilant red dresses and floral displays bursting with berries and winter blooms, every detail sang of the Christmas season.
“Our wedding was a beautifully rustic and festive celebration of love at Christmastime,” said Victoria. “My mum, who has motor neurone disease, did a beautiful reading during the ceremony accompanied by a slideshow of pictures of me growing up.”
“Walking down the aisle with my husband as our guests showered us with confetti, I will remember that moment forever.”
For their wedding breakfast, Less and Victoria chose to have fillet of sea bass to start, followed by mouth-watering lamb with seasonal vegetables and finished things off with white and dark chocolate torte for dessert, before coffee and petit fours were served.
“Lee’s two best men (his best friends from school) made the most amazing film for their speech; it was hilarious and touching all at once, and they had obviously put lots of love into it.”
Welcoming an extra 35 guests to their evening celebration, Victoria and Lee danced the night away to a live band whilst popping in and out of a photo booth they hired that proved to cause high hilarity amongst their friends and relatives.
