Neil and Mary became Mr & Mrs Clark on 14th December 2013 at Northbrook Park near Farnham. They immediately fell in love with the venue when they first visited it and were also impressed by the lack of corkage charge at Northbrook Park, allowing them to have “the best day of our lives, filled with great food, good friends and lots of booze!”
With 120 guests on hand to watch them tie the knot and the venue dressed for Christmas, it felt like a little bit of magic had been sprinkled over Mary and Neil’s wintry nuptials.
For their wedding breakfast, the newlyweds chose a seasonal menu that would ensure their guests would remain richly nourished for an epic evening ahead.
~ Starter ~
Duck croquette with capers and cornichons with smoked duck breast, fine beans, hazelnuts and a dressing
OR
Butternut and mozzarella arancini with a warm salad
~ Main ~
Venison fillet with lentils and celery, savoy cabbage, bacon and a mini venison pie
OR
Aubergine, spinach and lentil moussaka
~ Dessert ~
Trio of raspberry sorbet, vanilla cheesecake and berries, chocolate truffle torte and blueberries
“The food was as fantastic as we remembered it to be and I was determined to eat everything despite being in a very tight, uncomfortable corseted dress!” Mary said. “We were very pleased to see nothing but empty plates on all the tables we saw when doing the rounds and my little sister was running around at the end with her fork looking for discarded cheesecakes (there weren’t any!).”
As one of the last couples to get married in 2013, it was a pleasure to draw our year to a close in the company of Neil, Mary and their friends and family.
