Jacaranda Tasting Evening at Bury Court

The preparations have been going on behind the scenes for quite some time. Plans have been drawn up, redrafted and designated. The importance of the tasting evening that we are hosting tonight is not lost on any of the Jacaranda team as we welcome all of our current and potential clients for the next 12 months and tantalise their taste buds with a sample of what we can offer them.

Twice a year we invite all Jacaranda clients to our home away from home at Bury Court to come and test out an array of dishes in the hope of finding, creating and curating the perfect menu for their weddings or special occasions. The evening is designed so that clients can gain confidence in all that Jacaranda can offer, to experience our attention to detail, service and presentation and quality of food.

Our tasting evenings showcase our more popular dishes for the coming season. We try and make it a fun, sociable night out so we include a drinks reception with a glass of champagne and canapés, followed by a tasting menu of 6 different starters, 6 main courses and 4 different puddings accompanied with wine selected by our local wine merchant.

The organisation of the evening is now a well oiled machine. There is a huge team in place to ensure that the food is served quickly. We will have six chefs working in the kitchen to make sure that up to four different dishes are served at exactly the same time, all cooked to perfection.

The seating plan has been meticulously worked out. All our couples are seated on banquetting tables opposite other couples who share the same venue and have their wedding booked at a similar time of year, which we hope will foster a community amongst our clients.

Each dish served will be a miniature version of the full dish and will contain every element that is normally included in the full portion. Every couple receives a folder containing a tasting notebook with a description and photo of each dish. It also contains information about our associated wine supplier and florist as well, so that our couples are furnished with all the information they need to make an informed decision about the catering and design of their event.

We’re really excited to welcome our couples to Bury Court and to show them that Jacaranda tasting evenings are a little bit different and a little bit special.
