“I only need two words to describe our wedding,” said Charlotte, when we asked her to sum up her wedding. “Absolutely magical.”
We have to agree. Dominic and Charlotte’s wedding was an absolutely beautiful meeting of the minds. From their intimate and serene portraits in the pretty Ramster gardens to the hilarious, sentimental speeches, this pair enjoyed an exquisite and heartfelt day.
“We chose Ramster for its spacious, beautiful and traditional setting. We had many international guests, so we felt it would give them a rare opportunity to experience some true British culture.”
Charlotte’s father and stepdad both took turns to escort her down the aisle, a moment which she cites as one of her favourite memories of the day.
“My favourite part of the day was the wedding breakfast. I was able to tuck in for the first time in ages since starting my pre-wedding diet, but most importantly I got the chance to catch up with everyone at each table in-between courses. It was also the time of the famous/infamous speeches!”
The newlyweds treated their 100 guests to a menu of tomato tartin to start, followed by chargrilled lamb with veg. Charlotte and Dominic then treated their guests to ‘coffee and cake’ which, in Charlotte’s own words was “every chocolaholics dream dessert,” consisting of coffee chocolate mousse and a chocolate chip sponge cake with a side of warm chocolate sauce.
“I also finished my stepdad’s leftovers,” Charlotte said. “It was too good to waste!”
With live music serenading them throughout their evening celebrations, the newlyweds were delighted when their guests refused to let the band leave because they were having too much of a good time!
