Star Suppliers: Melissa Tyler Wedding Tiaras

Based in Hampshire, Melissa Tyler was established in April this year after director Melissa resorted to making her own wedding tiara. Having been unable to decide on a readily available headpiece, Melissa decided to spend a host of Saturdays squirreling away on  creating her own accessory, safe in the knowledge that her then-fiance would be out all day and not discover her creation. When guests at their wedding realised that Melissa’s tiara was handmade, she received a plethora of compliments as well as commissions from friends to make their own wedding tiaras and headpieces for bridesmaids.

Having graduated as a deign maker in three dimensional design, Melissa not only had the skills but also the talent to develop her hobby into a business. The ethos behind the brand is to offer the customer a say in how they want their headpiece to look as well as the material it’s made from.

In addition to furnishing bridal parties throughout this summer with bespoke headpieces, Melissa is also busy developing a range of children’s headpieces as well as finding new styles, lace and beads to develop her bridal collection. The Melissa Tyler website will also be launched later in 2012, giving a virtual shop front  to this exciting up and coming new brand.
