It was an unseasonably warm evening for January when the Jacaranda team headed into central London to celebrate The 2012 Wedding Industry Awards. We were absolutely delighted to have won the regional category for Best Wedding Caterer, so we already felt like winners when we were invited to attend the awards ceremony as a national finalist at the very glamorous Café de Paris in the West End.
We pride ourselves on throwing fabulous parties for our clients, so we were very impressed to see the venue looking absolutely resplendent and packed to the rafters with the crème de la crème of the wedding industry. From prestigious planners to inspiring independent suppliers, wedding bloggers to boutique bridal ateliers – we felt a little bit star struck to be honest!
As the list of nominees for our category were read out we all waited with bated breath, which soon erupted into a cacophony of cheers when we heard that Jacaranda had been highly commended. To have won the regional round was amazing but to be recognised on a national level was phenomenal.
You can rest assured that we partied the night away, but we did so in the knowledge that it was our customers who had given us the opportunity to be recognised in this way. The Wedding Industry Awards are based on votes from genuine clients before being judged by a panel of elite wedding professionals. It wouldn’t have been possible without the glowing reviews our clients gave on our behalf.
Following the awards ceremony, we were sent all the comments that were made about Jacaranda (all anonymous, don’t worry!) and the entire team was blown away by the glowing testimonials. We cannot thank everybody enough who took the time to vote for us and shout about the wonder that is Jacaranda. Your support is appreciated more than we can express and we feel very lucky to have worked with such wonderful clients over the years.
