Sorry it’s taken me so long to reply but we didn’t have the house to ourselves till Tuesday and I was relishing a few days with nothing much to do other than bed linen.
We had an amazing day on the 20th, it all came together beautifully and most importantly of all Katy & Richard had a ball. It was all thanks to the wonderful team we had to support us through it all, we couldn’t have done it without you. The food was utterly amazing …everyone commented on it…and lots of people said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The service was impeccable, all the staff so polite and attentive and I was greeted with a glorious G & T as soon as I arrived back from church. Now how is that for attention to detail!!
The marquee looked beautiful, again Caroline did the most incredible job. Dom was a real stalwart and even when I saw him lurking in the lane on our way in I didn’t panic because I knew whatever had gone wrong he would sort it out. Everything went like clockwork and I was completely relaxed all day. I know you won’t believe this after what you witnessed in the lead up ,but the hairdresser and make up artist said they had never been in a calmer house on the day of a wedding !!
I must say when you told me you couldn’t be with us on the 20th I was horribly disappointed but Phern was a star, never flustered and her sense of calm on the day kept me very relaxed. I could go on and on ….the whole thing was magical and the wedding just couldn’t have been better and that was all thanks to the wonderful recommendations you gave us. It’s not easy to organise a wedding having moved to a new area but you took all that pressure off our shoulders.
Eamon and I would love to meet you all for a drink, drop me a text when you are there and we will come across and join you. Please don’t be strangers and if ever you are passing do drop in, you have all been so welcoming and friendly and have made our move south so much more pleasant.
